In the 6th minute, Tulio Goyanes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inguma Sarrate was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Xurxo Villanueva fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Mallol's protests and gave Xurxo Villanueva a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes El Mallol got a freekick which was hit by Xurxo Villanueva. Adelio Rienda was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teodoro Casals showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. Tulio Goyanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inguma Sarrate having to interfere. In the 28th minute of the match, Gaston Jauregui tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adelio Rienda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 32 played minutes El Mallol got a freekick which was hit by Xurxo Villanueva. Teodoro Casals recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Tulio Goyanes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sant Feliu De Guíxols FC's Inguma Sarrate was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Tulio Goyanes came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the El Mallol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tulio Goyanes couldn't finish the play. Inguma Sarrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafo Arenas in the 44th minute of the match. Tulio Goyanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inguma Sarrate having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaston Jauregui to strike the kick off in the second half. Sant Feliu De Guíxols FC's Teodoro Casals got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Gaston Jauregui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Adelio Rienda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 56 minutes into the game, Tulio Goyanes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Inguma Sarrate was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafo Arenas got free with Inguma Sarrate in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serafo Arenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inguma Sarrate having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Gaston Jauregui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sant Feliu De Guíxols FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Jauregui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Jauregui in the 70th minute of play forced El Mallol's goalkeeper Adelio Rienda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tulio Goyanes in the 73rd minute of play forced Sant Feliu De Guíxols FC's goalkeeper Inguma Sarrate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sant Feliu De Guíxols FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Julio Benítez hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, El Mallol's Tulio Goyanes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Inguma Sarrate. Inguma Sarrate yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. If Teodoro Casals had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
