Matagorda FC's Valerio Orbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sindo Marines in the 5th minute of play. Jaizki Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Leroy Mora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience cheered loudly when Claus Tobias's long shot in the 10th minute became 1-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Leroy Mora. Boni Sobera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bonanza AFC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Bonanza AFC's Boni Sobera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 22nd match minute, Matagorda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Vacas to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Boni Sobera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ibar Valdés came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Matagorda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibar Valdés couldn't finish the play. Valerio Orbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sindo Marines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bonanza AFC's goalkeeper Leroy Mora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sindo Marines in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valerio Orbiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Bonanza AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Roque Justo hit a great ball. Leroy Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaizki Cabrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boni Sobera was the one to do the kick off. If Jaizki Cabrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matagorda FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Boni Sobera scored to the left of an out of position Valerio Orbiz, making the score, 1-2. When Ibar Valdés came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Matagorda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibar Valdés couldn't finish the play. Chants of Bonanza AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Matagorda FC had held the ball for most of the match.
