After 41 minutes, Tadeo Palomar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carchuna and the Sant Gregori players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Carchuna got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Palomar. Sant Gregori's Sol Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sol Freire in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rexino Correa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 47 minutes into the match, Carchuna's goal looked a bit too open when Sol Freire came free, but Rexino Correa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Carchuna were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Dulce was the one to do the kick off. When Rolando Dulce came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Carchuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Dulce couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loreto Dagora got free with Damaso Montaña in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damaso Montaña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loreto Dagora in the 55th minute. Maximiliano Losada hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Rexino Correa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sant Gregori. When Anakoz Camara fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sant Gregori's protests and gave Anakoz Camara a yellow card for diving instead. Anakoz Camara hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Sol Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sant Gregori's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sol Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rolando Dulce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Montaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loreto Dagora in the 80th minute of play. Carchuna's Rolando Dulce got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damaso Montaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argenis Bernal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Carchuna players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
