Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Morado to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Alumbres's Evangelista Gimenez got control of the ball when Arbidel Madariaga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raïmat AFC's Xelo Nunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Duran in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alumbres's zone, Victorio Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evangelista Gimenez came out of the goal and Victorio Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Alumbres's Evangelista Gimenez got control of the ball when Arbidel Madariaga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Veremundo Ricoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xelo Nunez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evangelista Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Morado in the 67th minute of the match. Arbidel Madariaga kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Alumbres's keeper Evangelista Gimenez was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Evangelista Gimenez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Morado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 77 minutes, Ismael Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alumbres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Duran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Orlando Morado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evangelista Gimenez. Alumbres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Morado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Arbidel Madariaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Orlando Morado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Evangelista Gimenez, passed just outside the right post. Ismael Duran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xelo Nunez having to make a save. The Raïmat AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Raïmat AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
