The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santa Susanna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Ramiréz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pello Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amaro Sarrate in the 37th minute of play. Bastia Palacios hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Hechter Sobrado kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of Santa Susanna FC booed when Cotariella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amaro Sarrate didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Lermo in the 55th minute of play forced Santa Susanna FC's goalkeeper Pello Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Saura's late challenge caught a Santa Susanna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Saura helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cotariella's Bastia Palacios got a free kick in the 58th minute. Gandolfo Vazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paco Turrilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Amaro Sarrate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cotariella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amaro Sarrate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amaro Sarrate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pello Leal having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bastia Palacios during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cotariella's Bastia Palacios got a free kick in the 80th minute. Santa Susanna FC's Paco Turrilla managed to work through Cotariella's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Paco Turrilla dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 85th match minute, Cotariella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Saura to maneuver through the defense.
