After having played for 25 minutes, Filipo Fresnos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alcover's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipo Fresnos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gandolfo Vazquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Sarro in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Cotariella's goalkeeper Gandolfo Vazquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filipo Fresnos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipo Fresnos got free with Gandolfo Vazquez in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvano Sarro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gandolfo Vazquez having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Cotariella's Amaro Sarrate slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gil Gabas. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. Amaro Sarrate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Gabas having to interfere.
