Vilanoveta's Colon Dagora came free and shot a quick shot against goal 11 minutes in the game, fortunately Nesto Coello had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Marcos Huguet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mero Serena in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute Argenis Morientes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nesto Coello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Nesto Coello managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Vilanoveta's Colon Dagora fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aimar Orbiz during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cabezo De Torres's Aimar Orbiz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Colon Dagora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Cabezo De Torres's goal looked a bit too open when Argenis Morientes came free, but Nesto Coello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cabezo De Torres's Aimar Orbiz got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Madaleno Soto hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Cabezo De Torres's Nesto Coello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argenis Morientes in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Colon Dagora had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nesto Coello. Cabezo De Torres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Colon Dagora was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Mero Serena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marcos Huguet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Argenis Morientes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nesto Coello was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Marcos Huguet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aimar Orbiz in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Vilanoveta's Colon Dagora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nesto Coello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vilanoveta's Marcos Huguet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mero Serena in the 82nd minute of play. Aimar Orbiz struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Marcos Huguet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabezo De Torres. Marcos Huguet made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Aimar Orbiz sent off a good shot on target. Aimar Orbiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Marcos Huguet made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Mero Serena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabezo De Torres's supporters rose to their feet, but Mero Serena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Huguet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cabezo De Torres's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
