Zumar Aizpurua's late challenge caught a Benetússer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zumar Aizpurua helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Dominguez in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esdras Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaizko Muelas during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Benetússer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaizko Muelas to maneuver through the defense. Esdras Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaizko Muelas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Vinallop getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Walme Guijarro hit a great ball. Benigno Dominguez got in the 22nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Esdras Duarte handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Iban Ponte hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Vinallop's goal looked a bit too open when Gaizko Muelas came free, but Esdras Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Benigno Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benetússer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Dominguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walme Guijarro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Gaizko Muelas took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esdras Duarte. Esdras Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Gaizko Muelas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Vinallop players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Benetússer were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaizko Muelas was the one to do the kick off. Iban Ponte hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Natanael Villanueva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benetússer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinallop the free kick. A collision led to Benetússer getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Natanael Villanueva hit a great ball. Benigno Dominguez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Esdras Duarte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benetússer's goalkeeper Paquito Ziguenza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Roger Lermo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paquito Ziguenza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selmo Roman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 84 minutes, Zoilo Dulce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinallop's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoilo Dulce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paquito Ziguenza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selmo Roman, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Gaizko Muelas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Benetússer's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gaizko Muelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esdras Duarte having to interfere. The Vinallop fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Benetússer were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
