Rosendo Segura started the match with the kick off. 15 minutes into the match, El Vendrell's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Segura came free, but Piorno Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sant Feliu De Guixols's Rosendo Segura got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pere Prats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Rubio Rey made a huge save. Fausto Albizua's late challenge caught a Sant Feliu De Guixols's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Albizua helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sant Feliu De Guixols booed when El Vendrell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Albizua didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Giraldo Soto got free in front of the goal in the 34th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Piorno Astudillo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Piorno Astudillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosendo Segura went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Sant Feliu De Guixols's zone, Pere Prats stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubio Rey came out of the goal and Pere Prats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Sant Feliu De Guixols's goal looked a bit too open when Ereinotz Acedo came free, but Rubio Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Ereinotz Acedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubio Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Sant Feliu De Guixols were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ereinotz Acedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of El Vendrell:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sant Feliu De Guixols:s goal. El Vendrell's Piorno Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ibon Silva in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Ibon Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sant Feliu De Guixols fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 72ndth minute of the game Pere Prats who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sant Feliu De Guixols's Rubio Rey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Giraldo Soto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sant Feliu De Guixols's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giraldo Soto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Sant Feliu De Guixols's Rosendo Segura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Piorno Astudillo. That made the score 0-4 after 76 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Giraldo Soto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sant Feliu De Guixols's supporters rose to their feet, but Giraldo Soto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piorno Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zavier Caminero's late challenge caught a Sant Feliu De Guixols's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zavier Caminero helped the player get up and apologised. 80 minutes into the game, one of El Vendrell:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Sant Feliu De Guixols's Ibon Silva got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, El Vendrell's goalkeeper Piorno Astudillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giraldo Soto. Ereinotz Acedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubio Rey having to interfere. Xuoco Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Pere Prats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubio Rey having to interfere. Oscar Astudillo charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Astudillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sant Feliu De Guixols booed when El Vendrell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rosendo Segura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The El Vendrell supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sant Feliu De Guixols's performance. The match ended with a win for Sant Feliu De Guixols.
