After having played for 26 minutes, Lawrence Folch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Fe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lawrence Folch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felipo Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Valentino Baeza made a huge save. A collision led to Rentería FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. René Companys hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Rentería FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felipo Veloso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lawrence Folch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enaut Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mané Madariaga in the 54th minute. After 58 played minutes Rentería FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Gómez. Lawrence Folch struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Valentino Baeza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Fe FC. When Santa Fe FC's Lawrence Folch in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Mané Madariaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Mané Madariaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rentería FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané Madariaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enaut Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Santa Fe FC booed when Rentería FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remir Taules didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Rentería FC's Tiago Villa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enaut Velasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felipo Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rentería FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
