Pacho Salazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urtun Silvestre in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Tonio Camino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pepe Alonsos short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Angel Jaen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Kepa Montiel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pacho Salazar was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Pacho Salazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kepa Montiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Legarda's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Alonso came free, but Angel Jaen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaskon Llorca during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Alcorcón AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gaskon Llorca hit a great ball. Angel Jaen made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Belisario Cabrera sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Alcorcón AFC's zone, Urtun Silvestre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pacho Salazar came out of the goal and Urtun Silvestre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Alcorcón AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Legarda were winning 0-1.

Pedro Palencia kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alcorcón AFC's Pepe Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pacho Salazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urtun Silvestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kepa Montiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Legarda getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Salvador Sabina hit a great ball. Belisario Cabrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urtun Silvestre received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pacho Salazar came out and tried to block the shot, but Urtun Silvestre slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kepa Montiel got free with Pacho Salazar in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angel Jaen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kepa Montiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pacho Salazar having to interfere. Angel Jaen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomé Briso in the 84th minute of the match. If Belisario Cabrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Pepe Alonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angel Jaen was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. If Kepa Montiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Legarda eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
