But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Mendez couldn't finish the play. Llíber FC's Celio Mera got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celio Mera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venceslás Aceves having to interfere. Llíber FC's Santana Torrente got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colas Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesaro Planes having to make a save. After 24 minutes, Eskuin Pacheco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llíber FC and the Tarragona AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tarragona AFC booed when Llíber FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eskuin Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesaro Planes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Roger Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesaro Planes having to interfere. Cesaro Planes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colas Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rdth minute of the game Santana Torrente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarragona AFC's Venceslás Aceves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Marcelino Machado fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarragona AFC's protests and gave Marcelino Machado a yellow card for diving instead. Marcelino Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Llíber FC's Celio Mera got a free kick in the 59th minute. Roger Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cesaro Planes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Leonel Tormes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarragona AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Llíber FC the free kick. A collision led to Tarragona AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play.
