Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tortosa FC's Telo Herrera started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Alfonso Cifuentes fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santo Domingo's protests and gave Alfonso Cifuentes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tortosa FC booed when Santo Domingo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Cifuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Telo Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Alfaro having to interfere. Vigil Dominguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Regis Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Domingo's Vigil Dominguez got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vigil Dominguez in the 28th minute of play forced Tortosa FC's goalkeeper Lain Muelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Alfonso Cifuentes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Valery Urbieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vigil Dominguez came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Santo Domingo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vigil Dominguez couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Telo Herrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Alfaro came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Tortosa FC's Telo Herrera. But to his dismay, Telo Herrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vigil Dominguez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Tortosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vigil Dominguez came free, but Lain Muelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeruko Mas's late challenge caught a Santo Domingo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeruko Mas helped the player get up and apologised. Zeruko Mas kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Lain Muelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valery Urbieta in the 55th minute of the match. When Alfonso Cifuentes came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Santo Domingo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Cifuentes couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Vigil Dominguez in the 64th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lain Muelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vigil Dominguez in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vigil Dominguez in the 72nd minute of play forced Tortosa FC's goalkeeper Lain Muelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeruko Mas hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Valery Urbieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcos Alfaro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 78th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. In the 82nd minute Valery Urbieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lain Muelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Valery Urbieta notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tortosa FC's Lain Muelas. Lain Muelas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vigil Dominguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vigil Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valery Urbieta struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Lain Muelas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santo Domingo. Tortosa FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Santo Domingo's much stronger midfield.
