Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Paterna's Zigor Losantos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eli Bargas was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Zigor Losantos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zigor Losantos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 9 minutes, Rico Carreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vallgorguina and the Paterna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Vallgorguina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rico Carreira to maneuver through the defense. Serafín Aballe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eli Bargas having to make a save. Zigor Losantos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Eli Bargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Paterna's goal looked a bit too open when Berbiz Pedraza came free, but Joanes Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Serafín Aballe came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Paterna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafín Aballe couldn't finish the play. When Vallgorguina's Honorio Velasco in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paterna's goalie prevented a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Vallgorguina's goalkeeper Eli Bargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oriche Canyelles. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Honorio Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vallgorguina's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joanes Paredes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Vallgorguina got a freekick which was hit by Santana Ponte. Eli Bargas was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Zigor Losantos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zigor Losantos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 46 minutes into the game, Zigor Losantos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eli Bargas. Zigor Losantos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Honorio Velasco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Paterna's Andolin Galdamez got a free kick in the 58th minute. Santana Ponte missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 60 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Joanes Paredes right hand side. If Serafín Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Vallgorguina's Honorio Velasco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 75th minute, Honorio Velasco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joanes Paredes, passed just outside the right post. Joanes Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berbiz Pedraza in the 81st minute. When Oriche Canyelles fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paterna's protests and gave Oriche Canyelles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Oriche Canyelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vallgorguina's Honorio Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Berbiz Pedraza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorio Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
