The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Geofredo Carrasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maule Bueno having to interfere. The El Manantial fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when El Manantial's Karlos Gil looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Ritchie Gasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Benifairó De Les Valls AFC's zone, Ritchie Gasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maule Bueno came out of the goal and Ritchie Gasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Ritchie Gasso fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Antoni Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Silva in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Martinez in the 35th minute of play forced El Manantial's goalkeeper Antoni Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antoni Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Tome Duran fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Manantial's protests and gave Tome Duran a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Manantial getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Tome Duran hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Anton Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Antoni Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Generoso Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Benifairó De Les Valls AFC's zone, Ritchie Gasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maule Bueno came out of the goal and Ritchie Gasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karlos Gil in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maule Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in El Manantial's zone, Generoso Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoni Varela came out of the goal and Generoso Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Martinez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antoni Varela having to make a save. Antoni Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Silva in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Anton Martinez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benifairó De Les Valls AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Karlos Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoni Varela having to interfere. If Generoso Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Benifairó De Les Valls AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Manantial.
