Pitin Morientes hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Sinforiano Alcalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakes Bastida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sinforiano Alcalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Santander in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Joachim Santander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Joachim Santander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Roque Ziguenza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eustaquio Sierra kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Sinforiano Alcalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakes Bastida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarragona's Joachim Santander got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matar AFC's Sancho Marin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sinforiano Alcalde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakes Bastida in the 42nd minute of the match. Sinforiano Alcalde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joachim Santander went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

53 minutes into the match, Matar AFC's goalkeeper Sinforiano Alcalde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakes Bastida. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sancho Marin in the 60th minute of play forced Tarragona's goalkeeper Haitz Camaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tarragona's zone, Amador Solera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haitz Camaño came out of the goal and Amador Solera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haitz Camaño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sancho Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haitz Camaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Solera, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Sancho Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haitz Camaño having to interfere. If Sancho Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. From close distance Jakes Bastida pressed in the 1-2 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 70 minutes into the game. Cordarin Palanques took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haitz Camaño. Tarragona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Urbes Canosa charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urbes Canosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Urbes Canosa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Tarragona's Breixo Carballido couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Matar AFC. Jakes Bastida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sinforiano Alcalde having to interfere. In the 80th minute Joachim Santander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sinforiano Alcalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sancho Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haitz Camaño having to interfere. Eustaquio Sierra kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Urbes Canosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haitz Camaño. Tarragona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sinforiano Alcalde made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jakes Bastida sent off a good shot on target. Jakes Bastida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sinforiano Alcalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
