Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Altzibar Esperta started the match with the kick off. Sindo Calatayud charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sindo Calatayud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Vallfogona De Balaguer got a freekick which was hit by Sindo Calatayud. Adán Higuera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Altzibar Esperta in the 6th minute of play. Vallfogona De Balaguer's Goiz Armada suffered a sore thigh after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 7 minutes into the game, Moncho Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verdu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vallfogona De Balaguer the free kick. Moncho Toledo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Musko Castaño notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Verdu's Adán Higuera. Adán Higuera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adán Higuera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Musko Castaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Magdaleno Dorado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magdaleno Dorado came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelo Toledo could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eron Gene in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Altzibar Esperta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute of the match Estefan Ruiz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adán Higuera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Eron Gene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eron Gene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Musko Castaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adán Higuera having to interfere. A collision led to Vallfogona De Balaguer getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Anartz Macías hit a great ball. Eron Gene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Marcelo Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eron Gene to make the kick off. Eron Gene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magdaleno Dorado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Toledo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eron Gene in the 65th minute of play forced Vallfogona De Balaguer's goalkeeper Marcelo Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes Vallfogona De Balaguer got a freekick which was hit by Sindo Calatayud. When Musko Castaño came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Vallfogona De Balaguer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Musko Castaño couldn't finish the play. Musko Castaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Verdu's zone, Musko Castaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adán Higuera came out of the goal and Musko Castaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magdaleno Dorado in the 79th minute of play forced Vallfogona De Balaguer's goalkeeper Marcelo Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Eron Gene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Musko Castaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adán Higuera having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Verdu's zone, Musko Castaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adán Higuera came out of the goal and Musko Castaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
