Estebano Mudarra made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Lucio Obis sent off a good shot on target. If Miliano Bencoiechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Estebano Mudarra managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Daimús FC's Lucio Obis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 42 minutes, Aresti Suarez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Seclina AFC and the Daimús FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Santa Seclina AFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Aresti Suarez hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Abad in the 48th minute of play forced Daimús FC's goalkeeper Placido Babia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Daimús FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santa Seclina AFC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucio Obis was the one to do the kick off. When Chinto Contreras fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daimús FC's protests and gave Chinto Contreras a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Daimús FC's Placido Babia got control of the ball when Esteve Cardeñosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Santa Seclina AFC's Daniel Abad in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Daimús FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Santa Seclina AFC booed when Daimús FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Cardeñosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Placido Babia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Santa Seclina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Sevilla to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Daimús FC's Lucio Obis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Estebano Mudarra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Placido Babia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Abad in the 84th minute of the match. Lucio Obis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Estebano Mudarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Obis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lucio Obis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santa Seclina AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Daimús FC's much stronger midfield.
