Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Perico Redondo made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Pineda De Mar's goal looked a bit too open when Perico Redondo came free, but Vinicio Urruti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo-Enrique Saura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Barroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Epifanio Barroso came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Pineda De Mar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Barroso couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Valines during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luis Valines hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Gaizkine Valerón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo-Enrique Saura having to interfere. Epifanio Barroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Palomar kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Santa Barbara getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Severino Sirvent hit a great ball. Gaizkine Valerón's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Pablo-Enrique Saura skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gaizkine Valerón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo-Enrique Saura having to interfere. Vinicio Urruti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perico Redondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Pablo-Enrique Saura made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Gaizkine Valerón sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Chus Quiroga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinicio Urruti having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaizkine Valerón in the 60th minute of play forced Santa Barbara's goalkeeper Pablo-Enrique Saura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Santa Barbara defense, Epifanio Barroso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pablo-Enrique Saura. The Santa Barbara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pablo-Enrique Saura should have stopped the shot. Vinicio Urruti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chus Quiroga in the 66th minute. Santa Barbara's Pablo-Enrique Saura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Barroso in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Gaizkine Valerón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo-Enrique Saura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo-Enrique Saura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Barroso in the 81st minute of the match. Chus Quiroga scored 1-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinicio Urruti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Chus Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th match minute, Pineda De Mar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martín Viqueira to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
