Gení España started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes El Bassot FC got a freekick which was hit by Xantalen Nieto. When Iyan Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Castellçiutat FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iyan Salgado couldn't finish the play. Sindo Alacuart struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Juan-Francisco Barrios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Bassot FC. Iyan Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerico Checa having to interfere. Juan-Francisco Barrios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Villanueva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Castellçiutat FC got a freekick which was hit by Troyes Alarcon. Claudio Orbiz shot a long shot in the 26th minute and a light blocked Juan-Francisco Barrios hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-1. Gení España's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerico Checa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Xantalen Nieto's late challenge caught a Castellçiutat FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xantalen Nieto helped the player get up and apologised. Xantalen Nieto kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Castellçiutat FC's Gení España got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gení España fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerico Checa having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Castellçiutat FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Villanueva came free, but Juan-Francisco Barrios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sindo Alacuart in the 44th minute of play forced Castellçiutat FC's goalkeeper Juan-Francisco Barrios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Castellçiutat FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Huguet to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

José Villanueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Juan-Francisco Barrios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Mario Vera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Bassot FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castellçiutat FC the free kick. After some careless play in the El Bassot FC defense, Iyan Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerico Checa. The El Bassot FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerico Checa should have stopped the shot. If José Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sindo Alacuart scored 1-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan-Francisco Barrios, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Sindo Alacuart recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan-Francisco Barrios. Sindo Alacuart showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Xantalen Nieto kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Sindo Alacuart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Castellçiutat FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching El Bassot FC's performance. The match ended with a win for El Bassot FC.
