After a rather tough play, Jaén AFC's Iban Novo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Honorio Maestro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ariel Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Jaén AFC's Ariel Paredes got control of the ball when Honorio Maestro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Playa De San Andrés's Anselmo Rico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Teruel in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Playa De San Andrés's zone, Germán Tobia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Rico came out of the goal and Germán Tobia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th match minute, Playa De San Andrés was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Barrios to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jesús Morales made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Playa De San Andrés booed when Jaén AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xuoco Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Maestro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Jaén AFC's Germán Tobia in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Anselmo Rico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Teruel in the 69th minute. The attack was good, but when Severiano Teruel in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Severiano Teruel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germán Tobia in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Honorio Maestro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Jesús Morales put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ariel Paredes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesús Morales in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Paredes saved Jaén AFC from getting behind. If Severiano Teruel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the match, Jaén AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesús Morales came free, but Ariel Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Jaén AFC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Xuoco Paredes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesús Morales in the 98th minute of play forced Jaén AFC's goalkeeper Ariel Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Jaén AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Jaén AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Playa De San Andrés were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
