Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Michel Gibert got the match started through his kick off. If Bernal Valdivia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Gibert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Damaso Sampil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Gibert in the 11th minute of play forced A Fontans's goalkeeper Damaso Sampil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, A Fontans's Xan Verdaguer got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute, Bernal Valdivia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in A Fontans's zone, Xalbador Acha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Sampil came out of the goal and Xalbador Acha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Gibert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xalbador Acha in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damaso Sampil saved A Fontans from getting behind. Damaso Sampil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Gibert in the 32nd minute of play. Xalbador Acha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Damaso Sampil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Las Barracas's Michel Gibert in 35 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Damaso Sampil guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Xan Verdaguer's late challenge caught a Las Barracas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xan Verdaguer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to A Fontans getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Xan Verdaguer hit a great ball. Damaso Sampil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Gibert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Las Barracas's Michel Gibert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damaso Sampil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernal Valdivia to make the kick off. Benedicto Barroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernal Valdivia in the 55th minute of play. Damaso Sampil made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Xalbador Acha sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind A Fontans's goalkeeper Damaso Sampil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xalbador Acha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Sampil having to interfere. Hipolito Olmedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernal Valdivia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hipolito Olmedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Barroso having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Michel Gibert put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Damaso Sampil. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Hipolito Olmedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. A Fontans's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipolito Olmedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Barroso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedicto Barroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernal Valdivia in the 95th minute of play. Damaso Sampil was a little too slow when Michel Gibert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 0-2.
