Nueva Torrevieja's Ximun Pareja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Planes in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Xesc Quiroga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Julián Olmos hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Canet De Mar booed when Nueva Torrevieja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edorta Herrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nacho Planes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ximun Pareja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Planes in the 92nd minute of the match. Egoi Ponte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Morientes in the 97th minute of play. The Canet De Mar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nueva Torrevieja's performance. The match ended with a win for Nueva Torrevieja.
