Viviano Barro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Policarpio Montaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viviano Barro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Molnars AFC's Quintan Clos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Titos in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes in the game, Siro Vega dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Siro Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Policarpio Montaña having to interfere. The supporters of Molnars AFC booed when Las Infantas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andoitz Albizua didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Las Infantas's goal looked a bit too open when Viviano Barro came free, but Policarpio Montaña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Molnars AFC's Siro Vega got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Tiburcio Titos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Las Infantas's Policarpio Montaña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viviano Barro in the 26th minute of play. Quintan Clos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Novo in the 32nd minute. In the 37th minute Siro Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Policarpio Montaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Andoitz Albizua fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Las Infantas's protests and gave Andoitz Albizua a yellow card for diving instead. Molnars AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jordi Vacas in the 40th minute. The corner ended in Jordi Vacas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Las Infantas's Policarpio Montaña did a great save. After 42 played minutes Molnars AFC got a freekick which was hit by Xose Castaño. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiburcio Titos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Las Infantas's Tiburcio Titos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quintan Clos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Siro Vega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Policarpio Montaña having to make a save. Quintan Clos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Novo in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Molnars AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacio Ucero to maneuver through the defense. Viviano Barro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Policarpio Montaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Novo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Novo couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute Siro Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Policarpio Montaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Molnars AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
