Germán Ecija received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Marco-Antonio Negro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Peñíscola's Adulfo Olmos got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Germán Ecija managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peñíscola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germán Ecija was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Ugutz Gonzalvez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peñíscola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Llivia AFC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Peñíscola's zone, Telmo Zapatero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bitxintxo Montiel came out of the goal and Telmo Zapatero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Curcio Abancens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Román Segura kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Caetano Ricoy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marco-Antonio Negro. Llivia AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edur Mas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Edur Mas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peñíscola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Llivia AFC the free kick. Edur Mas kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Zapatero to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Peñíscola got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Sanz. Llivia AFC's Mazuste Prieto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Peñíscola. In the 58th match minute, Llivia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beltxe Estruch to maneuver through the defense. After 71 minutes, Adulfo Olmos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peñíscola and the Llivia AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adulfo Olmos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Aniol Escurza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
