Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manolo Ponce started the match with the kick off. Castel Peña hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Montrel Alonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arias Aguado in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Marco Orbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Palanques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Arias Aguado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peio Buendia's late challenge caught a El Pinatell De Rojals AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peio Buendia helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Cabo De San Martín:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Pinatell De Rojals AFC:s goal. A collision led to El Pinatell De Rojals AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Joseba Avila hit a great ball. Evaristo Palanques came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Cabo De San Martín's Gitano Bueno. But to his dismay, Gitano Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Arias Aguado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolo Ponce in the 42nd minute of play forced Cabo De San Martín's goalkeeper Montrel Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Orbiz made a kick off. A collision led to Cabo De San Martín getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Raimundo Elguero hit a great ball. Montrel Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the game, El Pinatell De Rojals AFC's Arias Aguado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Montrel Alonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Gitano Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Evaristo Palanques made a huge save. Arias Aguado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montrel Alonso having to interfere. Marco Orbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Palanques having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cabo De San Martín's zone, Manolo Ponce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Montrel Alonso came out of the goal and Manolo Ponce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manolo Ponce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arias Aguado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Manolo Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montrel Alonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Palanques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Orbiz in the 92nd minute of play. If Manolo Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Pinatell De Rojals AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
