The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rufio Dagora kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nueva Atalaya FC's goalkeeper Nagoi Feliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nagoi Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arias Aguado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Palanques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Migúel Leyva, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Felix Dominguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to El Pinatell De Rojals AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Heliodoro Duarte hit a great ball. If Belmiro Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nueva Atalaya FC's Migúel Leyva got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Migúel Leyva came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Nueva Atalaya FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Migúel Leyva couldn't finish the play. Belmiro Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Evaristo Palanques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nagoi Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arias Aguado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Palanques made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Belmiro Ramos sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, El Pinatell De Rojals AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Migúel Leyva came free, but Evaristo Palanques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gandolfo Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gandolfo Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, Nueva Atalaya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gandolfo Lara to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Nueva Atalaya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arias Aguado came free, but Nagoi Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Pinatell De Rojals AFC's zone, Belmiro Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Palanques came out of the goal and Belmiro Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Migúel Leyva made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Manolo Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nagoi Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Pinatell De Rojals AFC's Manolo Ponce got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evaristo Palanques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Migúel Leyva in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, El Pinatell De Rojals AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heliodoro Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Belmiro Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Palanques having to interfere. Evaristo Palanques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Migúel Leyva in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Ramos in the 71st minute of play forced El Pinatell De Rojals AFC's goalkeeper Evaristo Palanques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Belmiro Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Palanques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arias Aguado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Migúel Leyva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rufio Dagora hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Arias Aguado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
