The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Zoilo Leyva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borrissola AFC's Veto Lopez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Turrilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eufrasio Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Qwinton Soler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Pedro Turrilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eufrasio Ponce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 9 in the game by Zoilo Leyva from a close distance when the talented Veto Lopez managed to make a qualified save. Borrissola AFC's players were relieved. Veto Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zoilo Leyva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Zoilo Leyva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Veto Lopez. The goal made the score 1-0. Veto Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoilo Leyva, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Guillermo Antunez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borrissola AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Antunez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Borrissola AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pablo Cuervas ran over to the corner to take the kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zoilo Leyva was the one to do the kick off. In the 77th minute, Pablo Cuervas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Borrissola AFC's Veto Lopez didn't even have to move. Marcelo Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veto Lopez having to interfere.
