The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cubelles FC. In the 9th minute, Riells AFC got a penalty, and Prudencio Vagrande placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Luis Ortega hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Sergi Olle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micael Cano in the 17th minute of the match. Rio March struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Sergi Olle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cubelles FC. After 20 played minutes Riells AFC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Ortega. Cubelles FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Riells AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celino Serra took the corner. In the 25th minute Micael Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergi Olle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riells AFC's Sergi Olle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Micael Cano in the 26th minute of play. Onofre Domenech hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Albano Nunez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sergi Olle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Micael Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergi Olle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Fortunato Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cubelles FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riells AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cubelles FC's Fortunato Freire got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Tomualdo Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomualdo Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Cubelles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomualdo Arias to maneuver through the defense. Xavier Escurza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boniel Barba in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Micael Cano made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play Cubelles FC's Fortunato Freire was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After recieving a nice pass, Riells AFC's Prudencio Vagrande tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Cubelles FC's Albano Nunez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sergi Olle. Sergi Olle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Boniel Barba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Xavier Escurza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Albano Nunez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Aiert Solana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Riells AFC's zone, Rio March stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergi Olle came out of the goal and Rio March tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 played minutes Cubelles FC got a freekick which was hit by Micael Cano. In the 85th minute, Boniel Barba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aiert Solana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Escurza having to interfere. Aiert Solana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xavier Escurza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. With his leg Sergi Olle managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Cubelles FC's Rio March fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 92 minutes, Albano Nunez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cubelles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albano Nunez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
