In the 3rd minute, Darien Gonzáles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The tension between the Portbou AFC and the La Yegua Baja players grew even worse after the yellow card. 16 minutes into the game, one of Portbou AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aureliano Rua let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 23rd minute shot 1-1 at rihgt post. Portbou AFC's Amerigo Velazquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darien Gonzáles in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Darien Gonzáles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Amerigo Velazquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute Duarte Quijana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernal Cartagena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cordarell Acedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amerigo Velazquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Portbou AFC's zone, Cordarell Acedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amerigo Velazquez came out of the goal and Cordarell Acedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duarte Quijana to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Manu Leseduarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aureliano Rua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bernal Cartagena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Yegua Baja's Darien Gonzáles got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Duarte Quijana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Duarte Quijana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernal Cartagena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portbou AFC's Duarte Quijana got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 minutes, Cordarell Acedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Yegua Baja and the Portbou AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Cordarell Acedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of La Yegua Baja booed when Portbou AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benvide Fuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Yegua Baja's Darien Gonzáles got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manu Leseduarte in the 83rd minute of play forced Portbou AFC's goalkeeper Amerigo Velazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 played minutes Portbou AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nalo Esperta. La Yegua Baja's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
