Luis-Miguel Pascua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Viqueira in the 5th minute of play. If Eleuterio Viqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Lorenzo De La Parrilla's Cirino Garate proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo De La Parrilla from getting a goal against them. After having played for 16 minutes, Gartzea Abrego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo De La Parrilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gartzea Abrego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cirino Garate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy Sierra, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Rio Verde AFC's Troy Sierra got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Rio Verde AFC's Cloyo Cabrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cirino Garate made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Cloyo Cabrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cirino Garate. San Lorenzo De La Parrilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cloyo Cabrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 32nd minute of the match Honorio Vagrande sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cirino Garate skillfully saved the ball. Cloyo Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Troy Sierra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sanson Clemente hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gartzea Abrego was the one to do the kick off. Cirino Garate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy Sierra, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Arxel Contreras hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Eleuterio Viqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Luis-Miguel Pascua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Xoan Saavedra came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the San Lorenzo De La Parrilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xoan Saavedra couldn't finish the play. Eleuterio Viqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cloyo Cabrera struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Cirino Garate didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Verde AFC. After 88 played minutes Rio Verde AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sanson Clemente. Eleuterio Viqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rio Verde AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
