Alberto Ruiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aranguiz Cayuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Santa Seclina's Zigor Vallejo in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Herberto Benito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rivera having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Santa Seclina's Amadeo Calderon got a free kick in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Herberto Benito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otxarcoaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Herberto Benito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Rivera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aranguiz Cayuela in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Rivera saved Santa Seclina from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Seclina's zone, Herberto Benito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Rivera came out of the goal and Herberto Benito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo Rivera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aranguiz Cayuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Pau Aguilar's late challenge caught a Otxarcoaga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pau Aguilar helped the player get up and apologised. Ekaitz Carballido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reinaldo Rosario went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zigor Vallejo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amadeo Rivera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herberto Benito in the 57th minute of the match. Aranguiz Cayuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Reinaldo Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Otxarcoaga FC's Ekaitz Carballido got control of the ball when Reinaldo Rosario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santa Seclina's Reinaldo Rosario got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santa Seclina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Otxarcoaga FC the free kick. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Santa Seclina would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
