Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Palomares's Lonzo Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cheche Borrás in the 3rd minute of play. Aurelio Candamil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 7 minutes, Cheche Borrás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Igualada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cheche Borrás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lonzo Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Candamil, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lonzo Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheche Borrás in the 14th minute of the match. Herminio Riells fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Indartsu Font having to interfere. The supporters of Palomares booed when Igualada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nabucodonosor Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Indartsu Font having to interfere. Indartsu Font stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nabucodonosor Abajas's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Cheche Borrás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Hanni Ribas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Igualada FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palomares the free kick. Hanni Ribas kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Herminio Riells received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Indartsu Font tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, Igualada FC's Cheche Borrás made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lonzo Torres was left in no man's land by his defense there! 48 minutes into the match, Cheche Borrás notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Palomares's Lonzo Torres. Lonzo Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nabucodonosor Abajas to make the kick off. Cheche Borrás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lonzo Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Arturo Abajas charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Abajas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arturo Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Cheche Borrás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lonzo Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Palomares getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Arturo Abajas hit a great ball. Cheche Borrás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonzo Torres having to interfere. Aurelio Candamil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lonzo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Candamil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herminio Riells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes, Palomares's Dantel Nueva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Indartsu Font came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palomares reached it. In the 88th minute, Cheche Borrás made a precise shot to the right of Lonzo Torres. Palomares's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The Igualada FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Igualada FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
