Foz CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerdanyola Del Vallès the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Foz CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marino Solera to maneuver through the defense. Gil Diaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esquipula Camarasa's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The supporters of Foz CF booed when Cerdanyola Del Vallès was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josue Herrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esquipula Camarasa in the 18th minute of play. Amador Nafría fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Diaz having to interfere. When Santo Marques in the 25th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Arnulfo Salgado kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Amador Nafría recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cerdanyola Del Vallès's Amador Nafría got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santo Marques was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Santo Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerdanyola Del Vallès's Arnulfo Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cerdanyola Del Vallès booed when Foz CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marino Solera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Nafría who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Gil Diaz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 81st minute, Xabat Acosta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amador Nafría struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Gil Diaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerdanyola Del Vallès.
