Raimundo Mondejar might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chepe Palacios. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Mondejar ran back to his position shaking his head. Xano Rosario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asier Rivera kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esplugues De Llobregat FC's goalkeeper Emenon Quintanilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Balaguer AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo Mondejar was the one to do the kick off. Chepe Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Mondejar in the 55th minute of play. Balaguer AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aladino Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emenon Quintanilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aladino Moreira got free with Emenon Quintanilla in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esplugues De Llobregat FC's Kaiet Pastor got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Kaiet Pastor off the ground. After a rather tough play, Esplugues De Llobregat FC's Kaiet Pastor got a free kick in the 91st minute. Aladino Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emenon Quintanilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
