Mel Cortes came out and tried to block the shot, but Iyan Camarasa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 85th minute. Xandro Carballeira hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the game, Antonio Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almería's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Albalat Dels Sorels the free kick. Antonio Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Desiderio Montero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Etxepare Hidalgo in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Almería had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
