Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hereña CF's Jimeno Olmedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by García Dobale in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers García Dobale in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Olmedo saved Hereña CF from getting behind. García Dobale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Olmedo having to interfere. Isidro Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Olmedo having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Hereña CF got a freekick which was hit by Cheche Camarasa. 26 minutes into the match, Hereña CF's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Alonso came free, but Jimeno Olmedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Gibert having to interfere. A collision led to Galifa AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nacho Torres hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Beremundo March got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matias Gibert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Quintanilla in the 33rd minute of play. Matias Gibert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Quintanilla's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Federico Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Gibert having to interfere. In the 45th minute Federico Quintanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Quintanilla was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Galifa AFC booed when Hereña CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Quintanilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hereña CF's Osvaldo Bargas got a free kick in the 61st minute. Hereña CF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when García Dobale 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. 85 minutes into the match, Hereña CF's goal looked a bit too open when García Dobale came free, but Jimeno Olmedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
