An unexpectedly hard shot by Quilino Paz in the 4th minute of play forced El Zorongo's goalkeeper Angelino Jorquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 minutes, Cosme Castellano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Zorongo and the Torroella De Montgrí players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, El Zorongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Castellano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in El Zorongo's zone, Quilino Paz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Jorquera came out of the goal and Quilino Paz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toli Jorquera hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to Torroella De Montgrí getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Eustaquio Mata hit a great ball. Cosme Castellano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelino Jorquera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Camacho in the 29th minute. In the 29th match minute, El Zorongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petronio Sevilla to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Zorongo's goalkeeper Angelino Jorquera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Petronio Sevilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelino Jorquera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Camacho in the 36th minute. Quilino Paz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Jorquera having to interfere.

An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Tonete Alonso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Moreno during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Zorongo! The referee gave Torroella De Montgrí a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raúl Gomar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of El Zorongo's Angelino Jorquera. 1-0. Angelino Jorquera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quilino Paz's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Tonete Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pericles Campos's late challenge caught a El Zorongo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pericles Campos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Torroella De Montgrí getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Pericles Campos hit a great ball. After some careless play in the El Zorongo defense, Quilino Paz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelino Jorquera. The El Zorongo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelino Jorquera should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Torroella De Montgrí's Denis Zapata got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Quilino Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelino Jorquera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Camacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torroella De Montgrí's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
