Cruz Guijarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Orlo Castelao kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in El Papiol's zone, Jairo Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cruz Guijarro came out of the goal and Jairo Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Garay during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Justino Garay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Gilen Rienda managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Papiol's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilen Rienda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garaile Quintas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Es Palmer getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Norberto Acedo hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes Es Palmer got a freekick which was hit by Orlo Castelao. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Cruz Guijarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Es Palmer's goal looked a bit too open when Gilen Rienda came free, but Garaile Quintas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garaile Quintas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilen Rienda in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Papiol's Nofre Etxeberria got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When El Papiol's Xavian Sauca in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Es Palmer's goalie prevented a goal. Garaile Quintas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilen Rienda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Jairo Checa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilen Rienda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Gilen Rienda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garaile Quintas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Es Palmer supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Es Palmer would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
