When Mon Reina came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Motril fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mon Reina couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Cordaro Teruel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes Motril got a freekick which was hit by Darien Zamora. Sedaví AFC's Arbidel Figueroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Castillo in the 35th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cordaro Teruel to make the kick off. Arbidel Figueroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Castillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Jordi Cifuentes had to leave the field with a concussion. When Godfredo Rossello fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motril's protests and gave Godfredo Rossello a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Motril's Godfredo Rossello got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Bruno Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motril's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sedaví AFC the free kick. A collision led to Motril getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jaizki Babia might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Macedonio Velasco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaizki Babia ran back to his position shaking his head. Darien Zamora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Sedaví AFC's Cordaro Teruel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Macedonio Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Arbidel Figueroa made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Dante Castillo sent off a good shot on target. Macedonio Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordaro Teruel in the 92nd minute of play. Motril's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
