After a rather tough play, Guadalupe's Pierres Castaño got a free kick in the 2nd minute. If Enrique Darroja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rufino Iglesias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Darroja in the 9th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Guadalupe got a freekick which was hit by Pierres Castaño. Cebo Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Mendez having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Cebo Escobar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Angelo Mendez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute Cebo Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rufino Iglesias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Darroja in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Guejar Sierra AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Balcells to maneuver through the defense. Cebo Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Mendez having to interfere. Angelo Mendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Llorienzo Gimeno in the 30th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Llorienzo Gimeno in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Mendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelo Mendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cebo Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Angelo Mendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cebo Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Silverio Segarra could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Rufino Iglesias however easily saved by the left post. In the 44th minute, Cebo Escobar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guejar Sierra AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Darroja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Guadalupe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karlo Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute, Martín Canyelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enrique Darroja in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rufino Iglesias saved Guejar Sierra AFC from getting behind. After having played for 56 minutes, Llorienzo Gimeno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guejar Sierra AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Llorienzo Gimeno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Silverio Segarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Cebo Escobar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Mendez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of Guejar Sierra AFC booed when Guadalupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Segarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Llorienzo Gimeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guejar Sierra AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Llorienzo Gimeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Mendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cebo Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Angelo Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guadalupe's Angelo Mendez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Guadalupe from getting a goal against them. Enrique Darroja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufino Iglesias having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Darroja in the 78th minute of play forced Guejar Sierra AFC's goalkeeper Rufino Iglesias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Segarra might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rufino Iglesias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silverio Segarra ran back to his position shaking his head. Guadalupe's Angelo Mendez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Guadalupe from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, Guadalupe's goalkeeper Angelo Mendez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cebo Escobar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guadalupe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Angelo Mendez, was totally fooled by Guejar Sierra AFC's Godfredo Rallo, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Silverio Segarra struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Rufino Iglesias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guadalupe. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guejar Sierra AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
