Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Garcilaso Mayol started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Tauro Nafría lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 2 minutes into the game, one of Santa Pau AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Motril's Feijo Comas got a free kick in the 8th minute. Edmundo Coya came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Pau AD's Emmanuel Diez. But to his dismay, Emmanuel Diez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Motril booed when Santa Pau AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Cuervas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Mariano Valerón had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Contratas. Santa Pau AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Valerón was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Emmanuel Diez came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Santa Pau AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmanuel Diez couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feijo Comas during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Feijo Comas kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Emmanuel Diez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Coya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santi Marquez hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Ferrer Harroyo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Motril fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferrer Harroyo couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes in the game, Mariano Valerón fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abel Contratas having to interfere. Abel Contratas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferrer Harroyo in the 37th minute of play. Mariano Valerón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Contratas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferrer Harroyo in the 43rd minute of play. Emmanuel Diez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmundo Coya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferrer Harroyo was the one to do the kick off. Martín Mayol kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Abel Contratas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Valerón's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Motril's zone, Emmanuel Diez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo Coya came out of the goal and Emmanuel Diez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute of the match Hitz Ponce De Leon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Contratas skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Motril. Hitz Ponce De Leon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abel Contratas. 3-1. Abel Contratas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Valerón in the 77th minute of the match. Ferrer Harroyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Contratas having to interfere. Santa Pau AD's Abel Contratas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Valerón in the 85th minute of play. Martín Mayol kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Motril's Hitz Ponce De Leon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Santa Pau AD. Abel Contratas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Valerón, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Emmanuel Diez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 minutes of play, Motril's Mariano Valerón made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Contratas was left in no man's land by his defense there!
