The crowd rose to their feet as Ventas Nuevas FC's Prudencio Griego slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitor Fuente. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Ventas Nuevas FC's Cheche Quintanilla got a free kick in the 29th minute. Vincente Serena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Orti Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Ventas Nuevas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibar Albizua to maneuver through the defense. Orti Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gallo De la Torre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vincente Serena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match was over Bonavista could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ventas Nuevas FC throughout the match.
