Portman AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldovino Ponte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ekialde Bargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bautista Nafría got free with Ekialde Bargas in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldovino Ponte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Puente Tocinos AFC's zone, Bautista Nafría stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ekialde Bargas came out of the goal and Bautista Nafría tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bautista Nafría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portman AFC's Baldovino Ponte got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ekialde Bargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldovino Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Froilan Santander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Vagrande charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Vagrande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Portman AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Luis Vagrande hit a great ball. Orlan Barroso hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When Toni Arenas fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puente Tocinos AFC's protests and gave Toni Arenas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Portman AFC booed when Puente Tocinos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toni Arenas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bautista Nafría struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ekialde Bargas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portman AFC. In the 64th minute Bautista Nafría shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekialde Bargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urdin Teruel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bautista Baños having to interfere. Ekialde Bargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldovino Ponte in the 70th minute of play. Froilan Santander was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 74 played minutes Puente Tocinos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Urdin Teruel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urdin Teruel got free with Bautista Baños in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
