El Brillante's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambrils AFC the free kick. A collision led to El Brillante getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cortez Titos hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Yoel Riells made a precise shot to the right of Ciriaco Camacho. Cambrils AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, El Brillante's Ritchie Fernandez got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a little luck, El Brillante's Ioseba Martinez got control of the ball when Antero Bodelon tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Antero Bodelon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 19 minutes, Izar Dorado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Brillante and the Cambrils AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of El Brillante:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cambrils AFC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoel Riells in the 25th minute of play forced Cambrils AFC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Camacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Aguado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Camacho having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, El Brillante's Enzo Aguado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciriaco Camacho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 34 minutes of play, Cambrils AFC's Antero Bodelon made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ioseba Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute, Polifemo Contratas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to El Brillante getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Madaleno Zubiaga hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Brillante's zone, Antero Bodelon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ioseba Martinez came out of the goal and Antero Bodelon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th match minute, Cambrils AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rexino Gómez to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Polifemo Contratas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cambrils AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Flor Etxeberria hit a great ball. When Cambrils AFC's Polifemo Contratas in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Brillante's goalie prevented a goal. Delmar Guasch hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Antero Bodelon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Camacho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yoel Riells's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, El Brillante's Ismael Amorebieta got a free kick in the 65th minute. Xurdin Bacete, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Polifemo Contratas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cambrils AFC's Ciriaco Camacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Guasch in the 72nd minute of play. El Brillante's Madaleno Zubiaga got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Polifemo Contratas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Madaleno Zubiaga fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Brillante's protests and gave Madaleno Zubiaga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute of the match Xurdin Bacete sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ioseba Martinez skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 95 in the game by Enzo Aguado from a close distance when the talented Ciriaco Camacho managed to make a qualified save. Cambrils AFC's players were relieved. The supporters of El Brillante booed when Cambrils AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flor Etxeberria didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Brillante's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
