The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Las Quinientas's goal looked a bit too open when Gaitan Raya came free, but Eduardo Acedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Acedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erlantz Gimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Las Quinientas getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Elixio Cabrera hit a great ball. Eduardo Acedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Piorno Cuervas in the 8th minute. Severiano Albizua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrés Adán in the 9th minute of the match. Piorno Cuervas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Eduardo Acedo made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Las Quinientas's goal looked a bit too open when Gaitan Raya came free, but Eduardo Acedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Manlleu defense, Andrés Adán kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severiano Albizua. The Manlleu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severiano Albizua should have stopped the shot. Manlleu's Piorno Cuervas got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrés Adán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Manlleu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoel Pardo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrés Adán in the 31st minute of play forced Manlleu's goalkeeper Severiano Albizua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piorno Cuervas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eduardo Acedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Anxo Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Las Quinientas's supporters rose to their feet, but Anxo Checa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severiano Albizua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Las Quinientas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaitan Raya was the one to do the kick off. Manlleu's Severiano Albizua proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Manlleu from getting a goal against them. Tartalo Abancens kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Severiano Albizua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anxo Checa in the 60th minute of play. Anxo Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Albizua having to interfere. Severiano Albizua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anxo Checa in the 67th minute of the match. Anxo Checa struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Severiano Albizua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Las Quinientas. Andrés Adán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Severiano Albizua made a huge save. When Piorno Cuervas came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Manlleu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piorno Cuervas couldn't finish the play. After having played for 79 minutes, Gaitan Raya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manlleu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaitan Raya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gaitan Raya came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Manlleu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaitan Raya couldn't finish the play. Piorno Cuervas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Acedo having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Las Quinientas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quexal Alabern to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
