Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donatello Gonzalez started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Villa Del Rio booed when Elexalde AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Bodelon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Escurza was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Sotil Zubizarreta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sotil Zubizarreta really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 16 played minutes Sotil Zubizarreta rounded Elexalde AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. A collision led to Villa Del Rio getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mateo Campos hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Elexalde AFC's Carlos Murcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xesc Flores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xesc Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donatello Gonzalez in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotil Zubizarreta in the 27th minute of play forced Elexalde AFC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Escurza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Unzueta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Escurza made a huge save. Reynaldo Escurza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anastasio Unzueta in the 29th minute. Carlos Murcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xesc Flores having to interfere. Reynaldo Escurza didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Reynaldo Escurza made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Anastasio Unzueta sent off a good shot on target. Pastor Bodelon's late challenge caught a Villa Del Rio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pastor Bodelon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Elexalde AFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Pastor Bodelon hit a great ball. Anastasio Unzueta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Escurza having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The wind increased when Sotil Zubizarreta made the kick off in the second half. Anastasio Unzueta struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Reynaldo Escurza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Del Rio. A collision led to Elexalde AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alonso Ruiz hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Donatello Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xesc Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sotil Zubizarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Escurza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Unzueta in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Del Rio's zone, Donatello Gonzalez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xesc Flores came out of the goal and Donatello Gonzalez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Donatello Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Sotil Zubizarreta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Murcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Xesc Flores made a huge save. Villa Del Rio were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Elexalde AFC for a fine match.
