After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Jacques Estruch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaén's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacques Estruch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xesc Flores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaén's Elazar Cordoba managed to work through Villa Del Rio's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Elazar Cordoba dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 14th minute, Mateo Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elazar Cordoba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotil Zubizarreta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Sotil Zubizarreta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noé Rallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elazar Cordoba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacques Estruch received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xesc Flores came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacques Estruch slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 29th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Jaén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frodo Titos to maneuver through the defense. Lain Torrent charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lain Torrent the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jaén getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Lain Torrent hit a great ball. Pere Garzon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Noé Rallo. Jaén's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anastasio Unzueta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Noé Rallo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sotil Zubizarreta struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Noé Rallo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Del Rio. 41 minutes into the game, Villa Del Rio's Anastasio Unzueta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noé Rallo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 47 minutes, Hegoi Dagora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Del Rio and the Jaén players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Villa Del Rio getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Hegoi Dagora hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacques Estruch made a kick off. Rainerio Carballeira charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rainerio Carballeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Villa Del Rio's Xesc Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elazar Cordoba in the 55th minute of play. Jacques Estruch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Xesc Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Elazar Cordoba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elazar Cordoba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Mateo Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacques Estruch struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Xesc Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaén. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotil Zubizarreta in the 64th minute of play forced Jaén's goalkeeper Noé Rallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Elazar Cordoba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaén fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Xesc Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elazar Cordoba in the 76th minute of play. Oriol Gandia charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oriol Gandia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 83 minutes into the match, Jaén's goal looked a bit too open when Sotil Zubizarreta came free, but Noé Rallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anastasio Unzueta came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Villa Del Rio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Unzueta couldn't finish the play. When Frodo Titos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. Anastasio Unzueta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute Villa Del Rio were awarded a corner. Pere Garzon went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Pere Garzon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jaén's Noé Rallo did a great save. Jaén's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
