In the 11th minute, Zahar Casero made a precise shot to the right of Michel Abrego. El Perell AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Michel Abrego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diagur Cuevas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Zahar Aranzubia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes El Perell AFC got a freekick which was hit by Charro Acedo. A hard shot by Adulfo Maestro from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Michel Abrego's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With an all-out effort, El Perell AFC's Sebastián Fernandez threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dante Laredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Vicálvaro getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Atilio Saboya hit a great ball. Dante Laredo's late challenge caught a Vicálvaro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
