Urtungo Camarasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Barbosa having to interfere. Ricardo Carceles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ricardo Carceles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Li AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Zacarías Babia hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Ricardo Carceles took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Espiridion Morera to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Ergoien FC's Espiridion Morera threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ricardo Carceles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Herberto Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarías Babia in the 41st minute of the match. If Raúl Valverde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Ergoien FC's Espiridion Morera threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ricardo Carceles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 47 minutes into the game, Li AFC's Demetrio Galdamez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herberto Barbosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 69th minute, Demetrio Galdamez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Herberto Barbosa, passed just outside the right post. Urtungo Camarasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herberto Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Ergoien FC got a freekick which was hit by Jakes Perpiñán. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Li AFC's goalkeeper Espiridion Morera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Urtungo Camarasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urtungo Camarasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Herberto Barbosa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ricardo Carceles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jakes Perpiñán kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Fructuoso Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Espiridion Morera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Carceles in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Li AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermenegildo Dorado to maneuver through the defense. When Berdaitz Palanques fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Li AFC's protests and gave Berdaitz Palanques a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Raúl Valverde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ergoien FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raúl Valverde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Espiridion Morera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Li AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Li AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
